My Experience at Halifax Health (Killer Fax) — What I Saw and How It Felt

Image
I understand why people come to Halifax Health in Daytona Beach. It’s a busy hospital, and not every visit is going to be smooth. Sometimes it’s the staff, sometimes it’s the system, and sometimes it’s both. This is just my personal experience and what I observed while I was there with my family.  What I Witnessed in the ER While I was waiting, I saw an emotional situation between a patient’s loved one and security. The family member was clearly overwhelmed, dealing with someone in serious condition in the ICU. She was very upset, and in that moment things escalated. From what I saw, security stayed professional and didn’t match her energy, which I think helped avoid the situation getting worse. My Dad’s Visit and His Symptoms My dad came back to the ER again because his blood pressure was 179 and his heart rate was around 120 , plus he had dizziness and hiccups that have been going on for months.  To be clear on the medical side: A blood pressure reading of 179...

Two Sides of Town, Two Different Realities

Image
Somebody asked me what the difference is between this side of town and the other side, and honestly, it’s a mix of prices, environment, and how everyday life feels in each place. On one side of town, basic items cost more—sometimes a lot more. Something as simple as a soda or everyday groceries can be noticeably higher for no clear reason. Same products, different prices depending on location. But it’s not just about money. It’s also about how the environment feels day to day. In some areas, you’ll see people gathering around stores for long periods of time, almost like it’s a daily hangout spot. You also see people spending a lot of time outside in public spaces instead of other options like libraries, community centers, parks, or work opportunities. That kind of routine raises bigger questions about structure, opportunity, and what people feel they have access to. Then there’s how different areas feel socially. In some places, conversations feel more relaxed and respectful, even with...

KEYBOARD NOISE VS REAL RESULTS: SHERIFF CHITWOOD GOT VOLUSIA ON LOCK

Image
For the past few weeks, Volusia County Sheriff Mike Chitwood been everywhere—news, social media, people talking reckless behind screens. Everybody got an opinion. But let’s separate noise from reality. Because online? It’s easy to talk. In the streets? Results are what matter. And the truth is—most of the people who actually live here, who’ve seen the changes up close, ain’t talking crazy about this man. They giving him respect. Why? Because he does his job. Simple as that. And in a time where a lot of people in power fall short, cut corners, or disappear when it matters most—doing your job at a high level already puts you ahead of the pack. Let’s talk facts. Daytona Beach, especially spots like Ridgewood, didn’t used to look like this. It was slipping. Crime had space to breathe. People got comfortable with disorder. Then Sheriff Chitwood stepped in—and applied pressure. Not politely. Not quietly. Direct. Loud. Unapologetic. Calling out “scumbags,” putt...

Defense or Distraction? Breaking Down the Statement on Officer Llinas

Image
When something goes viral, the first thing that follows isn’t always the truth—it’s control of the narrative. And that’s exactly what we’re seeing with the recent statement from the Coastal Florida Police Benevolent Association defending Daytona Beach officer Joel Llinas . Let’s be clear from the start—this statement is not an investigation. It is not evidence. It is not the final word on what happened. It is a defense. What This Statement IS This is a union-backed defense of an officer. Police unions exist to protect their members—legally, publicly, and politically. That means their statements are designed to support the officer, not to present a neutral version of events. Calling public concern a “witch hunt” and “dog-and-pony show” isn’t about facts—it’s about shaping perception. What This Statement is NOT Let’s break it down real simple: ❌ Not body cam footage ❌ Not an internal affairs report ❌ Not a court ruling ❌ Not sworn testimony 👉 That...
